I cannot believe that another month just flew by so fast. When did all this happen? And what is up with this crazy weather? Nature get yourself together please and act normal! Just kidding…
It is time for another monthly favorites. My selection is not as versatile as it was a month ago, but still, worth to check it out. Let’s get started!
Do you hate when your hair gets that annoying build-up? You wash it regularly, but it still feels and looks somehow waxy, maybe even sticky? Here is your simple and practical solution – Apple Cider Vinegar Blend Shampoo from Aveeno. This is a drugstore shampoo with vinegar that deeply but gently cleans your hair and leaves it super soft and shiny. It smells like sweet apples, so there is no sign of vinegar and you will surely get rid of that nasty build-up. Although it is gentle, I would still recommend it for occasional use.
The next product is good and old Reve de Miel face cleansing get from Nuxe. I love it because it is so gentle on the skin and smells amazing. I use it as a second cleanser or on the days when I wear little or no makeup.
Mostly I'm not too fond of body oils, because I find them too greasy and heavily fragranced, but this fall I wanted to give them another chance, so I bought this highly-rated Bio-oil. This has been around for over three decades and people still love it – it was a solid reason to buy it but in the most miniature bottle possible. I like it a lot, it is fast absorbing, it smells calming and not overpowering and it is nourishing enough. I would describe its smell like an old school perfume with lavender. I cannot talk about its impact on stretch marks, but overall it definitely improves the look of your skin. I mean, when it is nourished enough it looks better and healthier.
Let’s end this post with a bit of makeup. I recently bought two eye shadows from MAC. The first one is SHALE. This just might be my all-time favorite eye shadow ever. I never heard about it, I guess it is not that popular, but it looks gorgeous. Shale is cool-toned plummy mauve with some silver shimmer. It is a bit sheer, but I like less pigmented shadows, so that is a plus for me. It works great alone or as a topper. Another one I bought it’s a cult one for this time of the year CRANBERRY. To me, this is a burgundy shade with lots of pink shimmers. It is much more pigmented than shale and sadly that shimmer can go all around your eyes, especially if you’re using a fluffy brush. I never wear this alone, because I’m scared of creating ˝eye infection look˝, but I like to pair it with other shades and tone it down a little.
