Hello and welcome! Today on our schedule – good old monthly favorites. Do YouTubers still do this? It used to be a thing a few years ago, but now… It doesn’t matter, let’s do this!
September favorites. I can’t believe we’re already in October now! Ok, I selected five things that I’ve really been enjoying in the past month.
My old friend Chrystal Noir edt by Versace is in my humble opinion the best coconut fragrance out there. I tried everything, from Tom Ford to Alien Goddess and they were all a huge and expensive disappointment for me. This one is smooth, creamy coconut, surrounded by white florals and a hint of spices. A perfect transitional fragrance from summer to fall. Elegant, but young and always appropriate. I own quite a lot of fragrances, but this one remains a staple in my collection.
I had my eyes on this mug at the Muller drugstore for some time, and then I finally decide to buy it. I mean we have a lot of mugs at home and definitely didn’t need another one, but it happened. It might look super boring and even sad to some, but to me, it screams fall and I just wanted something like this. It can’t hurt to add some excitement to your morning coffee, right? Now it’s my favorite mug.
I finally read more and spend less time if from of the screen. I recently watched a newer documentary about Marilyn on Netflix and got excited and curious about her life again. I owned Marilyn in Manhattan – her year of joy by Elizabeth Winder for a few years, but never really read it completely, so I started all over again. This book is amazing, it is not a biography, but more like a novel. It is about Marilyn’s time away from Hollywood, when she escaped to New York, founded her own company, and rediscovered herself. This was an inspiring and very pleasant reading.
I am not an eyeliner girl, but sometimes you just need to try something different and change your makeup routine. A simple and affordable Kohl pencil by Max Factor can be very effective and make a big difference. I chose a shade 070 Olive which is (you would never guessed) olive green with a slight golden shimmer. It is very flattering on my hazel eyes and I love it. I’m not an expert at drawing lines, so I need some time to get ready, but I’m getting better. I usually wear it with a bronzer and a nude lip, it’s my go-to look these days. An homage to summer makeup.
Ok and the last thing is simply amazing, but you might just know that already because I’m again super late to this game. Take the day off balm by Clinique is truly a cult product, expensive, but totally worth the money. It removes everything! Water-proof makeup, glitter, heavy mascara, and all that without any irritations. I just love it!
