Dreaming about ...things

Here I am again with yet another wish list collage. I’ve got a mix of everything, so let’s just dive into it. Safari shirt dress by Desigual – this caught my attention a few months ago even and it is finally on sale now, so you can hopefully get it at a reasonable price. Shirt dresses are my favorite because they look classy and can be casual at the same time. it is very flattering for my figure, especially with the belt. I see myself wearing it with sneakers and my beloved mini backpack. Stanmore II Bluetooth speaker by Marshall – last year, on Black Friday sale I bought myself the first Marshall portable speaker, similar to this, but smaller, named Stockwell II. I am more than happy with it and it is in use almost every single day, for at least an hour. But now I want another one, a bigger one because size matters. Someone said on YouTube that after he bought his first Marshall, he soon wanted another one and I said to myself then that he must be crazy. Now I understand him. Don’t k...

Maybelline: Lifter gloss 009 Topaz

I recently got a gift card for my local drugstore for my birthday and this product was among a few carefully selected I purchased with it. I can’t explain why, but when I receive a gift card I have an extra hard time choosing what I want to get with it. Anyway, I’m trying to talk about  Lifter gloss from Maybelline  in shade  009 Topaz. This shade is very sheer orange-brown with some shy golden glitter. It is quite shiny but still subtle. I am disappointed about this color, I thought it would be richer and my go-to for this summer, but it is nothing special. In our country, we are very limited in the shade range. I find it very moisturizing, super comfortable to wear, and quite long-lasting. It can’t be compared to some other similar and more expensive products I own and love (I'm obsessed with Zoeva) but it is great and I would recommend it as long as you can find desired shade for you. It smells like chocolate and coffee to me, very delicious and not overwhelming. The p...

Testing on summer vacation

This vacation I’m going to play with some new products I just ordered and of course, do some testing at the same time. I am really excited about that because I love discovering new things and write about them later. I am not afraid that they would completely let me down, I trust them enough, all are from reputable French brands.  Let’s see which novelties I’m bringing with me: Vichy Mineral 89 fortifying and plumping daily booster  – I heard so many good things about this and I finally ordered a mini size just to try it for the summer. This serum is packed with mineralizing water and hyaluronic acid and I think it will be great using it in the evening as some kind of after-sun treatment. Some special care for calming my skin down and just pamper it with moisture. It has a cooling effect too which is perfect. I love the bottle, it is heavy and feels expensive (but I got it on sale). La Roche Posay Anthelios Anti- imperfections corrective gel-cream SPF 50 -  I’m really havi...

Lancome L'absolu lip Lacquer: 274 - beige sensation

This liquid lipstick was highly recommended to her followers by one of my favorite YouTubers – Jessica Brown. I love her and I trust her, so I had to try it.  I picked my  Lancome L'absolu lip Lacquer in shade no. 274 – beige sensation . I would describe it as medium orange-brown, it somehow reminds me of a trend that was super popular in the 90s. It was initially bought to be worn at the wedding and it also matches my dress perfectly, but that never happened… Let’s start with positive things. The shade is gorgeous and super shiny, it will be great for summer and fall. It is comfortable to wear and very long-lasting. Once dried it gets almost sealed to your lips. What surprised me is that also the shiny coat stays on for a long time and the stain remains for ages. I think it is great for wearing under a mask, it transfers very little – but that might change during summer, I don’t know yet. If lightly applied, the shade can be quite subtle, but you can build it up without probl...

OPI: Machu Peach-u

Are you in search of a great summer nude nail polish shade? Here is one of the options for you -   Machu Peach-u  from  OPI. This shade was originally released as part of Peru collection for fall 2018. I would describe it as nude peachy pink with a cream finish. It is subtle but bright enough not to be boring. It offers a great break from your typical nude shades. I believe it is very versatile and matches many skin tones. The formula is very thin and the color is quite sheer, so you’ll need at least two coats to make it opaque. Anyway, it is fun to wear and you won’t be disappointed.

Here comes the summer!

Steel bracelet KOKO by Zlatarna Celje  – I own this for about a year now and it is one of my go-to summer jewelry. I love gold and rose gold metals on tanned skin. They also have hoop earrings from the same line what is very tempting. Steel pieces are very affordable and quite resistant. Coco Mademoiselle hair mist by Chanel (35ml)  – This is apparently a very pleasant and most of all budget-friendly version of super famous Coco Mademoiselle. Reviewers say that this formula is slightly lighter and consequently more appropriate for hot weather, but it does not lack longevity. It is not just for your hair; you can freely use it on your skin. I hate original perfume, but I’m going to test this one. Linen-blend top by S.Oliver  – I fell in love with knitted tops this year and I just had to buy this one. It is made out of natural materials, so I’m am not afraid of getting super sweaty in it. Mine is in pastel yellow. I love that it is longer, so it suits my body type better. I...

Chanel: Les beiges healthy glow sheer powder no. 40

JUNE is already here, but according to our weather here, it feels like we’re somewhere in autumn. Summer days are approaching, so it’s time for changing our makeup routine a bit and add some elements typical for this season. Bronzer is definitely one of them. I don’t like to use it all the time, because my skin can be quite pale and it doesn’t look great on me, but when I get a bit of color, that’s another story. As a bronzer I use fancy powder from  Chanel: Les beiges healthy glow sheer powder in no. 40.  These powders were a huge thing a few years ago, so eventually, I had to try them. Les beiges powder has a dreamy texture and can truly offer you that no-makeup – makeup effect which I adore. It seamlessly blends into the skin and provides semi mat finish with a subtle glow. No. 40 is a dark orange-brown shade with some neutral undertones and looks scary in the pan, but applies very sheer. This powder is buildable without looking cakey, so if applied heavily it may be even g...
