Calzedonia total shaper leather-effect leggings review

Back in January, as one of my New Year’s resolutions I wanted to go out of my comfort zone as many times as possibly. And I did not actually have in mind big adventures or changes, bout mostly smaller things like fashion or food choices for example. As for typical Taurus, this is just enough for me. Ok, let’s get serious people! Leather-effect leggings trend has been around for quite some time and I love it- on others. Let’s be honest, it is not for everyone and you should style it properly. I selected black, old looking, shaping leggings with semi-mat finish from Calzedonia . I love the finish, because it is not that straight in your face shiny leather effect, but it is a bit toned down and varies with the light. The leggings are very comfortable to wear and flattering. They don’t emphasize private areas like some models do and are high-waisted which I like. Another important thing – they don’t make noise while walking, because this material in on the softer and I believe it is ...

Mini personal reading challenge for December

Because I am a very lazy reader (but enthusiastic book shopper) and because I’ll be having some days off in December, I decided to set myself a mini goal – book reading challenge. But I need to stay real, two books (one and a half if I’m being completely honest) is more than enough for this time. I might set greater goals for 2022. My first choice is:  Blowing my way to the top by OUAI founder Jen Atkin  (my boyfriend adores the title) I already started reading this during my summer break and loved it so far. It is motivational and full of advice and fun facts for future entrepreneurs, business owners, and others who like to dream big. I believe it will be a great reading before setting my New Year’s resolutions and maybe even some business decisions. Second book:  Harvey and me – A mothers love by Katie Price I am definitely not a fan of Katie and her actions (from past or recent), but I admire her as a mother. I watched some videos with her and her children, especially ...

Prada Candy Kiss fragrance review

In one of my previous posts I wrote that I adore the smell of the Moroccanoil hair line and that I found a fragrance similar to that iconic one. This is it – Prada Candy Kiss . In fact, it is quite simple, but very inviting. Composition is made out of three notes: orange blossom, white musk and vanilla. And that is exactly what you get. Maybe just the intensity of mentioned notes varies from time to time, but at the dry down you are left with dominating sweet and smooth musk, refresh with orange blossom from the background. This has been my work fragrance for weeks now. It is not overwhelming, but one spray is just enough for my taste. I found it quite shy during summer, but now, during cold weather, it stepped out of its shadow and took the center stage – still in moderate way. It is very long lasting, I can smell it during whole work day. The bottle is the same as for other fragrances from the line, but with a white plastic top and pink bottom. Don’t get why the pink, because...

Moroccanoil: Treatment & Intense hydrating mask review

Back in the summer I finally decided to try something from the (second? or is it third now? whatever) the most famous brand in the world –  Morrocanoil. The first product was their cult  hair treatment  in travel size. Amazing! It smooths my hair, without making it oily, reduces the fizz, makes it shiner, and leaves them slightly fragranced. I love the fragrance of the entire line so much that I even bought a similar perfume, but about that in one of my upcoming posts. The only thing that bothers me is the packaging of this small size, it can easily get messy, but it is still tolerable. My ideal size would be 30ml with a pump, but that doesn’t exist. I threw away my other alternative products and now I use only this. A few weeks ago, I decided to give my dry hair some extra love and finally bought  an intense hydrating mask  to include in my routine. Finally, something that works! It is very thick in consistency, almost like body butter, so a little goes a long ...

Ouai leave in conditioner

When it comes to hair care I am mildly said - lazy. My thick, medium-length hair is quite dry and gets super fizzy at first slight change in air humidity. It often looks messy or funny and even that doesn’t convince me to put on some extra products. You can’t expect great results without putting in some effort, right? My hair just rarely looks good naturally, so I always need to add something. Anyway, I decided to invest in some new products and this one was among the top-rated –  Leave-in conditioner by Ouai . Let’s just straightly go to its pros and cons. PROS: makes my hair super soft  detangles  pleasantly fragranced practical and stylish packaging easy to use would be great for kids CONS: price makes my hair dirty way quicker I will not call it greasy, but it still makes my hair dirty really fast. I can only wear it down for one day, but the next one I need to put it in a ponytail because it looks unappealing.  A lot of people were complaining that the condition...

Essie: Sand tropez

As always, when it comes to the good stuff, I’m late for the game. This shade doesn’t need an extensive introduction, because it is almost iconic, this is  Sand Tropez by Essie. It is solid neutral, appropriate for all seasons and all possible occasions and outfits. I would describe it as warm medium beige creme with gray undertones. This shade looks classy and sophisticated, so it is very office and school-friendly. I was afraid that it will be too boring and will not suit my skin tone, but it looks fine. When it comes to neutral shades they can sometimes simply look too plain. The formula is thin, fast-drying, and applied nicely and evenly. I love Essie’s wide brush on my fingernails but hate using it on my toes. The color is buildable and completely opaque after three coats. For my pictures, I did just two and I was ok with how it looked. Although I like it waring on my own, I just love how it looks with another sandy, but glittery and textured polish I own –  Zoya Godiva ....

Outfit idea: Winter BLUEs

I believe it looks super sexy when you combine black and dark blue and this look is all about that. Signature sparkle belt by Karl Lagerfeld  – a great way to add some shine even to your everyday wardrobe. It blends nicely with jeans or your fancy black formal trousers and adds that touch of something different to the whole look. Dark blue body with velvet cashmere patterns by Desigual  – bodies are reaching their peak again and this one has that something extra. It gives some retro vibes, but I think it looks amazing and can be easily transferred as a part of something sexy. Longer black coat by Zara  – I hate short jackets and coats, I believe that they are not that flattering and sometimes even spoil the whole outfit. Longer coats are always my go-to selection, they are way more sophisticated and presentable. This one gives some extra elegance to the whole appearance. Högl ankle boots –  classic suede boots with a square heel for comfortable and easy steps into ...
