Monthly favorites list

This month something different – less beauty and more random stuff, even my new underwear… We are one step away from December’s festivities, but we need to do this first, so let’s start. There is a good reason why this is named for one of the best drugstore products ever –  Instant anti-age eraser multi-use concealer from Maybelline . If you can pick the right shade (for me, it took a while) it can easily become your holy grail product. It is perfect for covering dark under-eye circles and brightening up your face. It has medium coverage and a flawless long-lasting finish. For me, the packaging is very practical and that famous sponge tip applicator doesn’t bother me at all. Highly recommended!  That was it from the beauty department, so let’s move to my underwear. I found the most comfortable push bra in the perfect shade of mustard yellow. Believe it or not, this is called  SUCCESS  bra. No 2 plunge push-up bra by  Etam.  And where should I be successful ...

Artdeco: Mission Ruby Rose eye palette review

The holiday season is a great time for companies to release their limited edition palettes that are very suitable for gifting or just treating yourself to something new… and sparkly. This little gem comes from Artdeco and has a very appealing name –  Mission Ruby Rose. It contains eight eye shadows: two mattes, two satin, and four metallics. The pigmentation varies from shade to shade, which is very usual for the brand. Their products can be either a hit or a miss. Metallics are highly pigmented and just stunning, but full of shimmer, so be prepared for that. Luckily that glitter did not fall all over my face, but it made me nervous during the day… Those shades would be perfect for glamorous looks. The same thing is with mattes, although they are not so ˝loud˝, but can be easily build up. They are very buttery and easy to blend. The satin ones were a disappointment. They provide just a hint of color and are too bright for my taste. Overall it is a solid drugstore palette to add som...

DW Home - White Chocolate Ganache

After years of headaches and other disappointments, I think I finally found the one – this is my new love,  White Chocolate Ganache  candle by  DW Home . Like many great things in life, I found this by coincidence while checking for other things on Notino. I immediately put this on my wish list but kept delaying my purchase, because I own quite a few candles already. There were almost no online reviews, so I was skeptical about the strength of the throw of the candle which is always my main concern. My room is smaller and I’m prone to headaches, so stronger scents are not an option for me. As the name says, this smells like buttery white chocolate with cream. Perfection! It is gourmand, but still light and fresh, not overpowering at all. It nicely fills up my room and gives it a little bit of soft chocolatey sweetness. This is a medium sized, one wicked candle and will burn for approx. 33 hours. The packaging is very elegant and simple. Now that they got my attention, I w...

OPI: Clean Slate

When it comes to new makeup releases, I ‘am still the most excited, when I see a new upcoming collection of nail polishes. Like I need another shade… but that’s the story for some other time. My personal favorite are those collections from fall and around holiday time, so now I’m in my special nail polish hunting mode.  OPI did not disappoint with Fall Wonders, it’s a wonderful mix of darks, neutrals, and bights. Don’t get it why so many reds for this time of the year, but I guess they just sell well. I was good and selected just one shade – Clean Slate. It is dark, metallic grey with silver and occasionally even blue shimmer. It looks classy and modern. And although it may be a bid ˝edgy˝ for some, I think it is still office appropriate. The formula is very thin but buildable. It applied nicely and evenly. For my pictures, I did two coats, but for a perfectionist, I assume it will take three coats. It was easy to remove, nothing special. I don’t find these metallics to be very ...

Monthly favorites list

I cannot believe that another month just flew by so fast. When did all this happen? And what is up with this crazy weather? Nature get yourself together please and act normal! Just kidding… It is time for another monthly favorites. My selection is not as versatile as it was a month ago, but still, worth to check it out. Let’s get started! Do you hate when your hair gets that annoying build-up? You wash it regularly, but it still feels and looks somehow waxy, maybe even sticky? Here is your simple and practical solution –  Apple Cider Vinegar Blend Shampoo from Aveeno . This is a drugstore shampoo with vinegar that deeply but gently cleans your hair and leaves it super soft and shiny. It smells like sweet apples, so there is no sign of vinegar and you will surely get rid of that nasty build-up. Although it is gentle, I would still recommend it for occasional use.  The next product is good and old  Reve de Miel face cleansing get from Nuxe . I love it because it is so gentl...

S-he Stylezone Eyebrow Cream Powder

Every now and then our makeup routine changes. I guess we love to redirect our focus to different areas and consequently different products. Mine somehow went into ˝emphasizing˝ my brows mode. I put the word emphasizing in quotation marks because only I can see them as bold after using this product I’m going to mention shortly. Well, you’ll see that in the pictures… I was tired of my old, dry often useless brow pencil and wanted to try something different, something that will look good and natural. Then I bought this with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. S-he Stylezone   eyebrow cream powder –  is a long-wearing powder for brows in pen with a sponge tip applicator. This is the best and most affordable brow product I have ever had. It works like a dream to me. I bought it in the darker  shade 001 . You can apply it with lighter swipes for a softer look or build up the color for a bolder appearance. With light tapping, you can easily fill in those blank a...

Seasonal wish list... or something like that

After a long time, I managed to pull together a smaller, but still expensive list of things that I want to purchase in the near future. There’s always something on my mind, but if that thing goes away after a few weeks… that is a clear sign that in was just a phase of something. You probably understand what I’m talking about. Let’s get started! I truly need one elegant, better-quality pajama. The majority of what I own looks so pathetic and cheap. I found this elegant one called  Flamenco  with lace details in  Lisca . I don’t like its maintenance tag, but I’m willing to put some effort into it.  Primavera  bag by  Furla  caught my attention immediately. It is the perfect size shoulder bag made of jacquard that stands out a bit but still fits into the minority of outfits I wear. Stunning and interesting. White chocolate ganache  small candle by  DW Home candles  – this sounds like perfection. I love white chocolate, my only concern is th...
