I usually don't like to make such kind of lists, because everybody does that and it's therefore less special, but this will be an exception. I haven't review all of these products yet, but I'll do that eventually, at least most of them. It was not so easy to pick the best items. At the same time I realized how many stuff I bought this year. But when you find something that is really good and you love it, it's justified. BURT'S BEES LIP BALM  Simple, natural, small compared to giant Eos and long lasting. MELVITA LAVENDER ROSE WATER Natural, multi purpose product with gorgeous and relaxing smell. OPI: SHOW US YOUR TIPS Beautiful blue color with glitters, a bit out of my comfort zone, but still office appropriate. THE BALM SEXY MAMA Great settling powder with hint of color. URBAN DECAY AFTERGLOW BLUSH IN BITTERSWEET Unique long lasting color. Something different from that typical doll cheeks. NYX BRIGHT IDEA ILL...

Mizon: Snail recovery gel cream

What can I say, the only reason I bought this cream was because it was very popular on Ebay. It had more then 15000 sold items, which is the probably the most popular cream I’ve seen on Ebay. It’s main ingredient is filtrated snail mucus, which sound really gross when you think of it. I’ve bought this cream as a moisturizer to use after shaving.  I have quite sensitive skin and if I use normal aftershave it causes acne and red skin. I’ve tried all kinds of aftershaves (with and without alcohol) and I haven’t found one would be good for my skin. So for a while I didn’t use any aftershave. I needed a cream that was not too greasy (because that causes acne on my skin) and I wanted a cream that absorbs fast. So far I’ve used this cream for 1 week and I like it, it doesn’t cause any acne outbreak and it moistures the skin nicely.  Cream has a gel texture and is transparent (like snail saliva –remember), it absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave any residue. It also claims...

Holiday blues

Every December for the past few years is the same. When I see first ornaments on the trees and hear Christmas songs on the radio I think… here we go again. The more we are approaching to the end of the year, the more tension and undefined sadness I feel. Then, on the first day of January, suddenly everything changes. I feel such a relief, peace and power to move on and be a better person. I know this all sounds like a bad woman’s novel, rewritten for the numerous times, but it’s how I feel inside. Last year I cried like crazy, for three days straight, but later it was all good. I should solve my little frustrations during the year promptly, but it’s easier just to sweep all under the carpet. But everything returns to you, often when you least need it. It’s not that bad how it might sound, but during any kind of longer holiday, I’m not the happiest person. When you have a little more time to think about yourself and your life, you might get sad. Maybe I’m just bored and should work...

First impressions: Afrodita, Melvita and Tonymoly

Even though I really like something, it’s extremely fun for me to try something new, to make a change. And so when I ran out of my beloved face toner from Ziaja I decided to try another one. I choose Clean phase toner from ˝our˝ (I mean Slovenian) brand Afrodita for normal to oily skin. It contains hyaluronic acid and lemon extract. It smells fresh and cream like if you know what I mean. I think it cleans very well, but it’s doesn’t leave that tightening feeling or dry skin, so it’s gentle enough. Of course you need to moisturize afterwards or whatever your next step is. It is very affordable, somewhere from 3 to 4€. In our country is sold almost everywhere, from bigger drugstores to small local supermarkets. The packaging is basic, but appealing. The most important thing is that it doesn’t leak like some other bottles do. I had very bad experience with Garnier. For softer cleaning or removing light makeup I currently use rose water from Melvita . This is actually a face mis...

Yves Rocher mini haul

Every year I admire Christmas collection from Yves Rocher. Their products can be so visually appealing, especially those ornament like shower gels with lots of glitters which are unfortunately missing this year. When I decide to finally buy something from their holiday range, they discontinued them. But maybe it’s a good thing, because shower gel that I bought from current holiday collection is just not worth the money. I’m talking about Clementine and spices limited edition shower/bath gel. It has absolutely nothing in common with my favorite shower gel – Brazilian coffee which is absolutely amazing, creamy and very aromatic. This one is just plain, watery and no festive at all. Like something you would buy for less than an 1€ and not 3,5€. It smells a bit like oranges, but very mildly. I will use it up, but I don’t like it. It’s a shame, because I was really looking forward to try this one and convinced that I will love it. We started so negative, let’s switch to po...

Lush bubble bars: The comforter and Peeping Santa

What is the best part of cold, gray and short winter days? You can take hot baths to warm up your bones, relax and building white castles from foam like a big kid. My love to Lush was born just this spring, before I always thought that baths are waste of time, money and water. Things change. Firstly I started with bath bombs. Great colors and aromas, but eventually they become a bit boring to me. I decided to try bubble bars – bingo! I felt like a child again. Bubbles simple make me happy as stupid as it may sound. My first bubble bar was ˝Blue skies, fluffy white clouds˝ . I don’t know why, but I didn’t make pictures of if, I guess I thought that I would never put this on my blog. But you can get a picture just from the name itself. The blue water was so calming and the smell of it reminded me on some men’s fragrance. Oh I need to buy this stuff again (correction - I never bought it, I got it as gift). ˝The Comforter˝ was my second bubble bar I tried, this one I used up just t...

Caudalie Polyphenol Overnight detox oil

Using facial oils is so modern now, but the idea of putting oil on my oily face sounded just ridiculous to me till’ recently when I read an article about power of oils. They can actually balance your skin, reduce the production of sebum, tighten your pores and do so much more. This sounds magical, right? But there’s one big question… which one should you buy? What does your skin need? The one that is popular between Youtubers, the expensive one, the one with the most beautiful add? Ok I’m kidding, but seriously, the market is full of all kinds of facial oils with big promises. After reading tons of reviews, comparing ingredients (of which I’ve got no idea what is effective and good) and prices I selected Caudalie’s night detox oil, because my skin needed some ˝food˝. This dry oil is for all skin types; it’s a mixture of 5 essential oils (lavender, carrot, white sandalwood, neroli, petitgrain) and 3 vegetal oils (grape seed, sweet almond, rose). ˝This dry oil helps to ren...
