Artdeco: Crystal and Amazing effect mascaras

Artdeco become my favorite ˝drugstore˝ brand. They have high quality products with good ingredients and their production in based in Germany. I think I got rid of all ˝Made in China˝ makeup and decided to avoid some brands in big circle. Quality over quantity – that is my motto for this year. I want to reduce the number of my makeup products and be a selective and not impulsive buyer. Anyway let me show you two of my recent purchases (there were quite a few) from Artdeco.  Crystal mascara&liner ˝Onyx Glamour˝ First I saw Crystal lash mascara top coat from Estee Lauder and got excited as kid, but that one is expensive and always sold out. Then I saw that Artdeco has something similar and could be a great and cheaper (half that price) dupe for Estee, but sadly I was wrong. This is transparent mascara/liner with black and silver shimmer. You could use it alone or as top coat over your favorite mascara to add some sparkle. The product looks great on lashes;...

My favorite treats aka. little ode to (junk) food

I love food, but one the same time, I'm constantly on some kind of diet. It’s complicated to explain. My problem is that sometimes I don’t really know how to control myself. On those days my motto is: If you screw, just screw it till’ the end. Is this how you say it? And there are also other kinds of days – good ones. Then I try to eat healthy and ˝clean˝. I’m some kind of bipolar eater. Hope you understand what I’m trying to say. My general rule is not to stash any junk food at home. When I crave for example sweets, I buy them in smaller number and eat mostly the same day. I’m still trying to limit my overeating sessions and it’s getting better every year. Currently I’m in my healthy eating/exercising mode. It’s some kind of obvious, because it’s January, right? I want to present you my guilty pleasures, or saying in different way, which food makes me happy for a short period of time. It’s always the same circle: craving – happiness – regret – sadness. These are my curre...

Ebay and Aliexpress favorite bargains

Three years ago I discovered the kingdom of Ebay and occasionally I can spend hours browsing through millions of inviting and available stuff. Unnecessary things are the best. Like decoration, key chains, makeup, bags or anything cute. I never bought clothes and I doubt I ever will. I also don’t like used items, except books. My favorite items to buy on Ebay are OPI nail polishes. I order them from USA and the usually arrive very quickly and are still quite cheaper despite high delivery costs, compared to our drugstores. Generally speaking I don’t have negative experiences with sellers. One item was in bad condition, but I paid for it less then dollar, so it’s not a big deal. I hate the situation when sellers have written wrong, misleading item location. For example, there are from UK, but the item comes from China and you discovered this when package is already sent. Maybe only I don’t see that before? Yes some prices are crazy, but you can find a lot of good and cheap stuff. Flo...

OPI: My private jet

I wish you all a happy New Year! Stay healthy, optimistic and may your wishes come true! Most of first posts of the year contain last year’s favorites and disappointments or author’s goals for the future. I’ll start with I think my most loved makeup item – nail polish, OPI nail polish. I craved for something dark, but not boring; festive, but still work appropriate. All that I found in one of OPI’s classic colors – My private jet. This color was originally released in spring 2007 and later became a part of permanent range. Of course, it was not available in our country, so I bought it online, like most of my polishes. Off topic: this year’s holiday from OPI was not in our stores what cannot be a good sign. My private jet is dark, mostly gray, slightly brown shimmery color with silver glitters and some shy holographic effect. Holographic glitter was more prominent in previous formulations, now is not that obvious. I actually like that, because I’m not the fan of it....

First impressions: Clinique, Nivea, Balea, Afrodita

Clinique Moisture Surge hydrating supercharged concentrate – this was a pleasant surprise. To be honest, I bought a small size of it to get free shipping. It had very good reviews, so I choose it, because I never owned anything from Clinique before. This is light, gel like moisturizer with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and aloe water. It is oil and fragrance, suitable for sensitive skin. It gives such a nice fresh feeling, not greasy at all and absorbs very quickly. It also makes my skin more plump and tight looking. You need just tiny amount to deeply hydrate your whole face. It is made for all skin types and works very good with mine which is more on the greasy side. It is so gentle that can be use also as eye cream. I always pick up products made for oily skin, I never tried something what is not exclusively for my skin type, but in the future I surely will. The original packaging looks gorgeous. Gel is pink, enriched with eye appealing bubbles which contain antioxidants. It would ...

Looking back

(CAA) It's not quite over yet, but it is too late to reach some major goals or improve anything serious, so let’s make a review and plans for future. My big goals for this year were four. Going to the dentist – done. It was not bad at all; I’m actually planning to book my next exam. Stop overeating – successfully accomplished. I mean, situation is not ideal, I still do that sometimes, but I’m happy. My last period of binge eating was two months ago and I manage to lose some weight and get some healthy habits. Ok this was positive part, the next one is not overly negative, but partly successful I would say. Driving a car – I did some driving, but I’m far away from being comfortable behind the wheel. I made small step forward which is a good starting point for future, but there’s still a lot of work to do. I haven’t tried enough, it is much easier just so stay away from the car and hide from the problem. The last goal was to read a book called ˝Four sisters˝ - I haven’t even t...

Bottega Veneta Eau De Velours

Top notes: bergamot and pink pepper; Middle notes: rose, jasmine, plum and spices; Base notes: patchouli and leather. On official Bottega Veneta site is among notes mentioned also iris butter Chrype floral group     This was a blind buy. I was looking for something new and different. I’m sick of all super sweet scents that are so popular right now. When I’m walking on the streets, I can mostly smell just one so familiar fragrance and that is just sad. We all know which one, right? After weeks of reading only positive reviews I decided to buy it. Naughty me J .Some even declared this as best flanker of 2017. It is different than expected, but still very pleasant, enjoyable and packed into most gorgeous bottle. Reviewers described this as dark, mysterious and masculine, but to me it’s soft and comforting. It mostly reminds me of Solea universal cream, mixed with plum and hint of spices and patchouli. I think that roses are to blame for this ˝Solea eff...
