Introduction to autumn

I just couldn't help myself and wait another week or two; time is moving super fast and new season is just around the corner. Colors of late summer and fall are my favorites whether it is in makeup or fashion. Ok and my car is also brown, but that’s another story. This is my mini sneak peek into autumn. If everything goes well, I’m going to attend my friend’s wedding in late September and I’m very excited about that. Most of all because I just adore darker floral dresses and that retro 70s style which I think is still going on strongly this year and this is going to be a perfect excuse to buy myself something new. I can’t wait to pick my outfit, but terrified at the same time about not finding something appropriate. Most of wardrobes in stores are still closed and online shopping and returns can drive me crazy. But, it’s not that bad, let’s just be happy that we can actually go out. YSL Libre Intense – I like original version, but it can be somehow boring and plain after a whil...

ESSIE: Sunny Business

L ately, I’ve been really enjoying wearing yellow whether it be on my clothes, accessories, or in makeup, so nails are no exception. I’m usually very picky about shades, you know, not every yellow is a good yellow. Some are just too straight in your face and not very office appropriate and I didn’t want to own yet another so-called weekend polish. I found new summer release  Sunny Business  by  Essie  during my scrolling through Instagram pics, like usual, and got immediately attracted by this positive ray of sunshine with the same name as the collection. Sunny Business  is quite sheer, shimmery golden yellow. To me, the focus is on golden what is a shame in some way, because from the pictures I saw online, I expected more of a yellow tone. The color is not  very buildable, for the pictures I used three layers and as you can see, my nail line is still visible. Maybewith adding two more, I would finally get my desirable shade, but who wants to do that anyway...

Lancome: Cleansers&Masks gift set

Ok, I never owned anything from Lancome before, not even a perfume sample. I hate most of their bestsellers, so I tend to avoid this brand. But then I read about their rose face mask and I somehow had weeks when I was obsessed with roses (probably lockdown blues), so I had to try this. And yes, I always complain that my skincare stuff is too big to carry around and neglect my face if I travel.  Cleansers & Masks Gift Set by Lancôme contains five skincare products: Lait Lalatee Confort (cleansing milk) – 50ml Tonique Confort (toner) – 50ml Advanced Genifique Concentre (serum) – 7ml Hydra Zen Gel Creme – 15ml Hydra Zen Jelly Mask – 50ml  Cleansing milk – I find this one most useful for cleaning my eye makeup. It is very gentle to my eyes, but also effective enough. For removing a full face of makeup, it would not be enough, you would need an extra step. It has a very pleasant creamy/rosy smell, the whole set smell very similar basically, I enjoy it, but for some could be ov...

Ritual of Sakura travel set mini

Another day, another travel set to talk about, so let’s get straight to business! Rituals were always a fancy, mostly body care brand to me, which I was always religiously avoiding to try. “Shower gel is a shower gel, how can it be special?” True and not so true. Some of the products are special enough and worth a bit higher price because they are gentle and effective at the same time and most of all they smell like heaven. Ritual od Sakura surely represents that piece of magic for me – it smells like cherry blossom and rice milk, a dreamy and soft combination. I actually hate anything cherry-like in perfumes, but here it is composed so well that it gives a different feeling. The smell is soft and not too strong. This is one of their smallest gift sets, it contains four body care products and comes in a gorgeous gift box. It makes it very suitable for a present. My box includes: Sensational foaming shower gel – 50ml Softening rice scrub – 70ml Magic touch body cream – 70ml Blossoming h...

Kerastase: Soliel discovery set

Well hello there! It’s been a while – again since I posted anything new, but now, let’s catch up, shall we? This week I’m going to present to you my three newer travel sets: one from haircare, one from skincare, and one from body care. I’m not sure about you, but I love travel sets and minis in general. We all probably know that they are usually pretty much very expensive, compared to larger sizes, but we tend to buy them anyway because they can be so inviting, cute and not to forget, travel friendly. Minis are also good for trying out new things, before you fully commit yourself to a product and when it comes to makeup, maybe they only size that you can truly use up before it goes bad. Today I want to show you a travel set dedicated to summer hair care from Kerastase, called Soleil. When it comes to hair care, I’m super lazy and that hits me back and shows on my hair big time. So I promised myself to be better this summer and ordered myself some new goodies.  Set contains three pr...

My new book: Overthinking

Hello everyone! I'm returning with something different this time, today's post is about MY new book. So I had this urge for writing for a while but never take a chance to actually do a step forward, because I was scared and insecure. Well, I still am, I'm terrified about my first honest book reviews, but at the same time, I'm very happy and proud of my finished project. I wrote short stories book about my dealing with low self-esteem, fear of driving, and teenage coping with an eating disorder. My way of storytelling is very honest and sometimes even brutal, but this is who I am and there's no reason to hide. I called it "Overthinking" because I often think too much about random, mostly unimportant things and try to plan or predict everything. it is a thing that takes so much of my energy and can occupy my mind completely. I've been scared of expressing myself for so long and hiding behind my shy posts. Anyway, when this lockdown came, I was determined...

My mini lipstick collection

I’m sending you big hello from my home isolation! Hope that you are healthy and staying positive during this difficult and strange time. Now there’s no excuses left for me for not to write, so I decided to have some fun and opened my makeup drawer. I’m presenting you my mini lipstick collection. As you can tell by this post, I’m not really a lipstick person. Lipstick is usually a weekend thing for me. Just to quickly put some colour on my lips and go. I also strongly believe that majority of lip colours don’t suit me. I mean a red is big no for me, so I’m leaning mostly on the nude and pink side. And yes, during my ¨photo session¨ I realized that my lipsticks are all so similar it was so hard to figure out which shade I’m presenting on which… I might try something new when this chaos gets over. So I own 5 lipsticks, these are all shades that I’m comfortable with and I wear them regularly. I got rid of everything I didn’t like. Let’s start with Urban Decay. I have the...
