Just some fragments of my screen time

Jessica Braun YouTube I subscribed to Jessica’s channel about five years ago and she has been one of my favorites ever since. I like her, because she is very grounded, simple and realistic. She doesn’t fake her life if you know what I mean and does not promote everything possible. I always felt that closeness, some kind of virtual connection between us if you will. I consider her as my YouTube friend although I don’t always agree with everything she says or does. She and her husband Tayler always create interesting and often funny content about their work, travel and everyday life with their 3-year-old daughter Genevive.   I admire their passion for cooking, working out and trying to live more fulfilled life in general. Each December they prepare short daily vlogs for Vlogmas and that is something I really enjoy and always look forward to. Walking commuter YouTube I am a very new subscriber to his channel, so I don’t know much about its creator. To be honest I don’t even know h...

Another collection of beautiful things

It is time for another set of collages, filled with a lot of desired things. Let’s start with fashion! After a few months of strict lockdown and forced online shopping, our stores are finally open again. Yaay! I really want to add some pieces to my wardrobe and refresh my quite boring everyday work appearance. Colour wise, this look is not typically spring, but more like something transitional. I adore chiffon skirts, but they shouldn’t be too wide and over the top. One additional layer of fabric is enough to create that slightly flowy and soft look without turning into a ballerina. I found these two skirts on Peek&Cloppenburg website and will definitely check them out. Both are by their store brand Montego . I find shirt dresses to be very flattering on me. You can dress them up or wear more casually and are just very versatile. Belt always gives them that right structure. This I found this one and many similar at Veromoda. I wear cardigans a lot, especially to office, so I’m con...

Dior: Stick glow blush balm in ˝Pink glow˝

Recently I've been very into cream blushes, so I was excited and of course curious when I saw the news about the upcoming makeup collection by Dior a few months ago. When it was finally available to buy online I decided to treat myself and give it a try. I bought it in shade 865 ˝Pink glow˝ - cool toned pink. This is not a typical cream stick blush, but more like a tinted cheek balm. I would say that this product has two ˝faces˝ of performance. It appears differently depends of what you use beneath it. On bare, moisturized skin – it applies very smoothly and leaves a bit shiny and slightly tinted trace. It is sheer, but buildable and very easy to blend. I found it a bit sticky, but way less then some other similar products I own. The finish is not very shiny or wet looking as I assumed it to be, so I can still use my favorite highlighter on the top. I just love that is gives that fresh, effortless and natural looking appearance. When it’s used on bare skin, it can be easily ble...

Happy, healthy and kind 2021!

So here it is, my wish list for next year. It is not sorted by importance; it has a random sequence. I was trying to be reasonable and realistic while writing it, so in the end, I can cross most of the things and feel great about it. This year was very different, unpredictable, and special, but also very great to me. I reached some important goals and that makes me really proud and happy, I just hope I can continue with full strength also in the upcoming year.  2021 be good to us! I want to: Worry less Spend more time with my friends Be a better partner Spend less time on social media Be able to run 5 km Get a cat from a shelter Get a conch piercing Change my haircut Try out new things and food Go to the spa Be a more rational spender

Best beauty findings in 2020

Well hello there and welcome! I usually don’t do yearly favorites or even monthly favorites but this time I’m going to make an exception. I just feel like sharing this with you although you will not be extremely surprised with my selection of products. This year most of my beauty related shopping was done on the internet, so that means a lot of relying on other people’s reviews and great marketing descriptions. The good thing is that I spent less, but still quite a lot. I hope that changes in the upcoming year. Let’s start with makeup.  1. Urban Decay – Naked honey palette:  I had this on my radar for almost a year before I finally decided to buy it and it became my absolute favorite eyeshadow palette. These colors are stunning, super easy to blend, and simply flattering. It is very versatile and definitely not boring.  2. Benefit – Bo ing cakeless concealer : the best thing for my under eyes I have ever tried! It never goes into my fine lines, has great coverage, and las...

Christmas in the bottle: Elixir des Merveilles Hermès

The first time I got the opportunity to try this perfume was in Zagreb, about three years ago. I was immediately blown away and told to myself that one day I just have to own it. It instantly reminded me of Christmas – a giant pine tree in the middle of the room and sweet orange slices drying on the old school radiator, waiting to become a part of holiday decoration. I read about it a lot on Frarantica, but was not entirely sure what to expect. I mean Oriental Fougere, what does that mean? Harmony of oriental components (warm woody and spicy notes) is refreshed with aromatic lavender, rosemary, coumarin, and oakmoss (Fragrantica.com) Sounds different, right? And sure it is. I finally bought it a few months later on a crazy hot day in one of the busiest shopping streets of Vienna. It is some kind of travel souvenir, but also a very special resident of my fragrant drawer who never disappoints and makes an impression each time I wear it. At first, I get a lot of fresh and spicy bitter ora...
