MAC Pro Longwear Blush - Baby don't go

Today I want to present you another shy and versatile blush. A few week ago I wrote that I won’t buy another MAC blush, because you can definitely find drugstore dupes, but I was wrong, you just can’t always do that and MAC was my solution. Or maybe this is just my excuse for splurging and I should search more. ˝Baby don’t go˝ is from pro-long wear line of blushes. I look for it this morning on official web page, but I couldn’t find it anymore, so I assume this is discontinued now. But you can definitely still find it in other web shops, or even Ebay, if you trust your seller.   Baby don’t go is described as light cool beige color with light sheen. On first sight it looks like a contour powder or light bronzer for fair skin tones, it is not typical blush. Lately we’ve been noticing a lot of ˝no makeup˝ makeup looks, which include nude blush. It might not show up extra natural if you’re strictly pale. Blushes with pink, violet or reddish tones can be unflattering during s...

Surrounded with roses

A few months ago I purchased Rose lip balm from Melvita and just adored it. I used it up in four weeks; it was in my hands constantly. So I decided to try something else from their line with roses. My first choice was a light face moisturizer – Nectar de Roses hydrating facial gel. Never enough of moisture and quality skincare, right? I am not very impressed with the product. It comes in cute pinky-white packaging, practical tube with pump which contains 40ml. Thumbs up for that, previous one was not so inviting. The thing that is bothering me the most is the smell, it is so overpowering to me. Although it contains high quality natural rose oil, it is just too much. I had also similar experience with Nuxe. What’s up with these overly fragranced products? Feels like I’ve been putting perfume on my face and not a cream for sensitive skin. It’s a miracle that it doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes, although I avoid eye area, it also didn’t break me out. It is more appropriate for normal sk...

Underrated: Makeup factory

How well do you know drugstore brand from Germany named Makeup factory? Let me just give you an answer – not enough. This is not sponsored in any way I just want to present you high quality products, which don’t give enough attention. We need to clear up something. This is a store brand, to be more specific, drugstore brand from Müller, but prices are in the range of MAC. Their products are made in Germany and this is also a reason that I trust them. It might sound bad, but I’m still not convinced in makeup made in China. For now I only own two products from them. Maybe their collections are not the most modern and visual appealing, but quality is really good. I love blushes, but sometimes you just need something discreet and easy to use. I was looking for something I can’t overdo early in the morning, when I’m still partly asleep and the light in my room is not that great. I discovered ˝ All over beautifier˝ . It comes in just one color named ˝Touch of Salmon˝ . You ca...

Caudalie: Vinosource mattifying fluid & famous Beauty elixir

Hot summer days and stifling office create ideal conditions for testing matifying and other products for oily skin with big promises. A few months ago I was using Bioderma’s pore refiner from their sebium line, but didn’t make a review, because it supposed to be discontinued. I’m not sure about that, but that moisturizer was not the best choice for me during winter, because it was too aggressive. I wanted to try something more natural and of course really effective. I was even prepared to spend a bit more money for good products, because greasy face is not attractive at all. I always feel it gives unprofessional, stressful, sweaty and distracted impression of person. Similar is with messy brows, but I’ll write about that some other time.   Beauty community recommended Caudalie . Their cosmetic is natural, with high quality ingredients. I know the brand and own some of their products. So I bought Vinosource moisturizing matfifying fluid for 28€ (tube contains 40ml). ...

Happy Monday!

I was again neglecting this poor blog for a long time and I feel so bad about it. My passion about blogging is occasional. I stare at computer for the whole day at work and have a lack of interest to do this also in my free time, unless I watch pretty new things, chatting with my boyfriend or watching YouTube of course. Maybe my will is just not strong enough and I don’t have a clear vision about this blog, which recently celebrated its first birthday. I can say I reached my initial goals. I believe my writing has improved, pictures are getting better and I have more visitors. But what do I want to do in the future? Firstly I want to write more frequently, so to be present more often. On this way, people will take my blogging seriously (if someone accidentally comes on my page). Problem is that my posts are rarely exclusive or highly original. I buy things for myself; I always buy what I like and not just for making a review and this just won’t change. I do what makes me happy. Sadly,...

Room renovation

I've been planning to renovate my room for some years, but a few weeks ago I finally decided to go in action. Some pieces of furniture were just so old and used that they need a replacement. Writing desk for example was from my father’s childhood, carpet was at least 40 years old and so on. Of course my father thinks that new furniture is not necessary, but I don’t really care for antiques – joke. So I wanted to replace my desk and carpet, buy smaller chest of drawers, new office chair and maybe some accessories. Quite some things, right? I’m almost done with renovation now. The hardest thing was filled up new closet space and decided what I need to throw away. I’m still a bit confused and often searching for my things, because I don’t remember where I put them. Carpet was first and the hardest thing to choose. It was also more expensive that I originally wanted to pay for, but I’m very satisfied with my purchase. It’s made of natural materials, very soft to touch and what...

OPI polishes after some years of use

Today we'll check how older bottles of OPI nail polishes look like after some years of use. First let’s repeat some general rules about storing nail polishes. They should be kept in dark and cool place, but not in refrigerator. Ideal are cooler rooms with consistent temperature, without exposing to direct sunlight. Polishes shouldn’t be near any sources of heat. Light and heat can promote color changes and fading. I just hate that some shelves in drugstores are so hot, because of heavy lightning and when you pick up a bottle it’s warm. I recently bought ruined lipstick, because it was stored on this way. I picked up 7 older polishes, they are from OPI, because this is my favorite brand and of course most of my lacquers are from them. Some are already out of use, waiting to be thrown away. One will be soon used up. Do you throw your polishes away after they’re expired? I mean after that recommended time of use, which is usual from 24-36 months, or you wait until they go bad...
